Utah's nonprofit home for affordable grooming education. We bring top industry educators to pet professionals — offering community-driven workshops, competitions, and classes every month.
Pet Groomers Low-Cost Education exists to expand access to continued education for pet industry professionals by offering affordable, inclusive, and community-driven learning opportunities that promote ethical care, professional confidence, and long-term industry sustainability.
We envision a pet industry where professionals nationwide — regardless of location, financial barriers, or experience level — have access to continued education, mentorship, and community support.

Lisa has been grooming for almost 18 years and earned her NCMG just a year and a half in — and she hasn't stopped learning since. She's had poodles for 13 years and has been showing for over 20, more than 12 of those with poodles.
Expect a deeper understanding of poodle maintenance and trims, with special attention on the Continental haircut — including the Modified Continental. Lisa also covers the basics of showing and ring procedure, so you'll see how the pattern and the ring fit together. A professional sharpener joins as a second educator to cover tool maintenance.

The bichon is one of the hardest breeds to get right — and one of the most rewarding. Kirsten walks through the breed-correct bichon trim from the ground up: coat prep and drying for maximum volume, setting the pattern, and scissoring the rounded head and outline that define the breed.

A rare chance to test for your National Certified Master Groomer credential without traveling to a major industry event. Suzanne evaluates the hands-on practical trims across both days, so you can sit one group or work toward several.
Certification is handled through NDGAA / AKC Canine College, and a few steps must be finished before testing day — membership, purchasing your exam and practical courses, and passing the written exam online.
